Quintessentially refurbished living spaces for an exclusive clientele

Hammersmith

Trusko has completed a refurbishment on a Victorian Townhouse in Hammersmith. The house is nestled in the centre of Hammersmith complete with manicured lawns and gardens. We were instructed to install waterproofing to the lower ground floor and alter the layout to include new sauna, gym and cinema room. The roof now includes a new dormer and bathroom and the rest of the building was refurbished to a high standard with the inclusion of a bespoke kitchen and joinery package throughout. The clients are forward-thinking and wanted the house to perform better in the modern world of renewable energy so our team installed Air Heat Pump technology into the house.

The property is an 18th century, terraced 3-storey building and basement of the Georgian period. The brief entails the construction basement and a 2-storey rear extension from lower ground to ground floors with a terrace at first floor level. It also includes the alterations and restoration of the rear façade, internal refurbishment and creation of a rooftop terrace.

Port isaac

We are proud that this is our second project with this client and shows that quality workmanship and management is valued. The Barn buildings sit on a hillside overlooking Port Isaac Bay on the Cornish coast and within an area of outstanding beauty.

The brief is to partially demolish the old barn buildings and build a new house that links the retained structures together to create a beautiful single storey building with a mix of pitched and flat roofs. The new building will be clad in timber and slate, leaving elements of the original stone walls visible from certain aspects. The interior space will have double volume spaces within the pitched roof areas and benefit from all new heating and electrical systems. The clients will enjoy the spectacular views from the newly glazed openings which can be opened onto private patios to enjoy the sunshine.

north london

This 5-bedroom semi-detached residential property situated in the borough of Barnet was constructed during the 1930’s. It sits within a quiet neighbourhood, set back from the road with hedges and a gated entrance providing secure parking.

The project brief was to construct a rear extension to the ground floor while temporarily propping the upper storey and to completely refurbish the interior of the house. We were also tasked with landscaping the rear garden and construct a garden room/gym with an outdoor kitchen and tiled patio. The refurbishment included a full rewire, new plumbing system with underfloor heating, air conditioning, kitchen, floors, bathrooms and finishes.

Clabon Mews

Clabon Mews is situated in the heart of Chelsea, nestled in a quiet terraced street. It has a classic yellow brick double storey façade with large sash windows and secure garage.

The brief was to excavate a double storey basement and fit it out with cutting edge mechanical and electrical systems concealed behind luxury finishes. The existing superstructure was propped for the basement works and completely refurbished to bring it up to date with inclusions like secret internal roof garden with retractable roof.

Some of the luxury features implemented were a below ground cinema room with full AV package and a separate Ballet Gym with mirrored walls and lit handrails.

Pembridge Villas

The project brief was to build a high end 7 storey building in the centre of Notting Hill. The brief required the excavation and piling of a 4 storey basement and the erection of a 3 storey steel framed building above. The house was full of features and state of the art electrical and mechanical systems.

The substructure consists of a piled perimeter with a steel frame and concrete structure within the void. The superstructure is constructed of steel frame with concrete rib deck floors and a brick, block and stone façade.

Some of the exclusive features:

  • A swimming pool at the lowest level with moving floor to create a dance hall.
  • Car lift and passenger lift to underground parking.
  • ‘wellness’ floor which includes a gym, steam room and sauna.

The orchards

This grand Victorian property sits right on the edge of the Heath itself, a stones throw away from Blackheath village with beautiful views and a private garden.

The brief was to completely refurbish the property in record time for the clients to move in. We were tasked with a number of structural alterations which opened up the ground floor of the house and provided ample space for new bespoke kitchen and breakfast area. The first floor was altered to provide additional bathrooms and dressing rooms for the family. We installed an all new plumbing and electrical system that was sympathetic to the original property but allowed for state of the art controls and modern, efficient fixtures and fittings.

We worked closely with the client to assist with procurement of finishes, advising on product suitability and providing alternatives where needed. The house was returned to its former glory with the benefits of the discreet modernisation and was delivered in time to suit the clients needs.
