Project Overview

Allport House is a former commercial building that has been converted into residential accommodation and is situated a short distance from the centre of Uxbridge town. The original building comprised of ground and first floor. The roof has been removed and a further two additional storeys have been added in steel to sit atop the original concrete frame.

The new additional floors are infilled with an external SFS wall system with external insulation/cladding. A lift has also been installed and all glazing has been replaced to meet modern standards.

Secure by Design has been consulted and designs for access/egress have been updated to give the best compliance possible. The external grounds will be upgraded to include electric car charging and secure bike storage areas with new planters and soft landscaping to compliment the building.
